Tips for betting on Football (college and NFL)

Football tip #1
The most important injury to a handicapper to occur in football is one to the center. While the center is an integral part of any teams offense, injuries to this position do very little to move the line. On the other hand, injuries to other position players (quarterback, running back) often effect the spread.
Football tip #2
When the first half score is close to the over for the game, bet the under on the second half. There are strong odds that both teams will slow down in the second and revert back to their normal offense. Additionally, both defenses will adjust to take away opportunities.
Luck is usually a strong part of the first half in these games, and it will even itself out more than not.
Football tip #3
When the line at the end of the first half is larger than the point spread before the game started, bet the underdog for the second half. Odds are the favorite will slow down, and the underdog will start to play.
This is a better play in the NFL as oppose to college. In college football, teams playing for ranking will continue to run up the score. In the NFL, the winning team will often let the other team score meaningless points near the end of the game.
